Woofstock Launch Party 7/9/06
Sunday was a busy day. I started out in Ballard at 7 in the morning for the Market. Then I went to Tacoma for the launch party for Woofstock an Animal Adoption Music Festival.
Woofstock is Saturday August 5th from 9am - 8 pm. Admission is $20 a person and parking is free with admission. Woofstock features adoption of many different types of animals; dogs, cats, bunnies and horses. Woofstock will have music from local and regional bands from 10 am to 8 pm. You can learn about businesses and organizations featuring products and services for pets. See the pets crowned King and Queen Woofstock for the best adoption story. Watch agility demonstrations or ask the trainer for tips on relation gto your pet. Enjoy the day and help the homeless animals of Washington!
What a view as I parked and walked up the street to Sea Grill where the launch party was held.
As I rounded the corner I saw what a great job Urban Dogs did getting the patio ready for the event.
Urban Dogs is a staunch supporter of the Dugan Foundation who are staunch supporters of the rights of animals to live a humane and loved life.
Inside there was a great presentation about Woofstock and the Dugan Foundation. There was heartfelt acknowledgement to all that participate in the ongoing drive to reach the goals set by the Foundation. Please check out their website to read about all the wonderful contributions that have been reached and the future goals that are yet to be achieved.
It is truly inspiring to be a part of such a caring and incredibly dedicated community!
Woofstock is just one of many events that the Dugan Foundation is a part of. Tomorrow you will see Uneek Treats at the Dog Day Afternoon held at the Tacoma Farmers Market. An adoption day for pets. Adoption is like winning the lottery. Not only do you save the life of an animal, they save your life too! I believe they find you. I believe all dogs are Uneek dogs.
