Good News and Hope

This is Chessie - Hopeful

We just made up his name. He is 7 months old, as sweet and energetic and healthy as they come. The shelter is full and he will die Fri. if we can't move him.

He appears to be a chesapeake bay retreiver mix and is a big YUM.

Please email me or Yvonne at alphamom33@aol.com Thank you on Chessie's behalf.

Wow, what a great way to start the week. Remember Me?

Many of you have diligently checked on the progress of this doll.

Biscuit, kept on a rope in the garage for all her life was heartbroken for human attention. She now lives with her new family

who are teaching her how to go up down stairs! The lovely terrier, lab girl is free, free, free, to finally, finally, be.

Go Biscuit!

` Yay for Biscuit going free! It reminds me of something a friend of mine told me after she met this guy who said he really liked animals.
` Well, she went to his parents' property (they also 'really liked animals') where he had helped them build this barn for the horses.
` The horses were not allowed to leave the barn, EVER, and their hoofs hadn't been trimmed for years!
` Then there was a tiny goat pen where the goats' hooves were so rotted they had to walk around on their knees (or wrists, whatever).
` Then there were dog kennels where the dogs were NEVER allowed out!
` Worst of all, a cat and a dog, each on chains less than two feet long in a pitch black garage, in their own filth, for eight years.
` The cat was completely bald on one side from not being able to get up, and the only way it could get water was to scream!
` My friend did manage to take the dog on a walk and it was so happy for it and growled at her owners. But then she had to put the dog back and never did get to rescue it - the Humane Society and the ASPCA couldn't do a thing.
` My question is: WTF is WRONG with some people? Especially if they think they are animal lovers?
